Hi
My mother(71) is very hard of hearing and has recently gone into a nursing home as she has the onset of dementia. She has had several hearing aids, but due to her confusion keeps losing them.
I just wondered if she could have an implanted one and if so, what the cost would be?

Cochlea implants are normally fitted to Profound losses. I would recommend you talk to your Hearing aid Audiologist for options that may suit her. A new implanted hearing aid is available in America but not in the UK yet.
