Hi all,

Our 4 week son has just be diagnosed with hearing loss in the inner ear of his right ear. (no family history)  His left ear is OK. We have more tests in a few weeks to see the extent of his hearing loss and what frequencies (if any) he can hear in his right ear.

We were told his good ear will compensate accordingly and he will probably not need any hearing aids as he progresses through life. I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience of this and can let me know what challenges to expect.
