Hi DJRay here

As you can probably guess from the name I have spent a lot of time ruining peoples hearing , especially my own .I`ve worn aids for about 14 years .Although my hearing isn`t severe it is enough to cause me a problem .I`m currently using a pair of Resound Airs and they are superb , so much better than all the others I`ve tried .
Recently I started looking on E-Bay and found a vintage hearing aid and thought it looked a miniature Wurlitzer Jukebox , it is a Zenith Phone Magnet .I bought it as a investment and as a start of a collection . Since then I have bought another 8 aids ranging from the `40s to the early 60`s .They are mainly from the States and Australia as I find these to be very attractive Art Deco units .
My problem now is finding information about them to satisfy my interest .My aids cover a very important era in hearing aid developement , the conversion from vaccuum tube aids to transistor aids
As someone who wears hearing aids , I can appreciate how someone 60 years ago would have felt wearing a massive body worn aid and seperate battery pack as well as a button receiver , it makes you think................
